Nain at its most persuasive: ivory, washed blue and taupe only, the arabesques traced in silk so the design floats slightly above the wool ground. From across a room it reads as texture; underfoot it resolves into precise classical drawing.
The nohla grade marks the finer end of the town's production. For contemporary architecture — pale timber, limestone, plaster — few carpets sit so naturally.
