Delivery & returns
A carpet is not a parcel. Ours travel rolled, insured and signed for — and because every piece is individually sourced, returns are handled personally, fairly and in accordance with the law.
Shipping
Every carpet leaves us rolled around a tube, wrapped in breathable protective layers and insured for its full value throughout its journey. Delivery is tracked wherever the carrier allows, and a signature is required on arrival — a small formality that protects a significant object.
Delivery times are confirmed individually when an acquisition is arranged and should be treated as estimates: pieces of this kind are not despatched from a warehouse shelf, and we would rather a carpet travel properly than quickly.
We ask that you inspect the carpet on arrival and notify us promptly of any concern — ideally within forty-eight hours — so that an appropriate resolution can be arranged without delay. White-glove delivery into the room, with placement and removal of packaging, is available in most cities and quoted individually.
Where we deliver
zarif currently delivers within the United Kingdom and Europe. Delivery within the United Kingdom is typically arranged within one to two weeks of final payment; deliveries to Europe may take somewhat longer, and additional delivery times and import requirements may apply depending on the destination.
Where import duties or local charges apply, they are stated before any commitment is made — never discovered afterwards. If your destination lies beyond our current delivery area, please speak to us; arrangements can occasionally be made for significant acquisitions.
Returns
Every carpet we offer is individually sourced — most are acquired specifically for the client who requested them. Returns are therefore handled with care, fairly, and in accordance with applicable consumer law; nothing in this policy limits or replaces your statutory rights.
If a carpet arrives damaged, materially different from its description, or is not the piece you acquired, please contact us promptly. We will arrange an appropriate resolution — repair, replacement where possible, or a refund — and we will manage and insure any return collection ourselves.
Where statutory cancellation rights apply to a distance purchase, they are honoured in full. Beyond those rights, and because each piece is sourced specifically for its client rather than held in stock, change-of-mind returns may not be available where the law permits this approach. We encourage a private viewing, further photography or a condition report before committing — we would rather answer every question first than unwind an acquisition afterwards.
Refunds
If zarif is unable to source a requested carpet, the Reservation Deposit is refunded in full — without deduction and without ceremony.
Once a carpet has been acquired specifically for a client, the Reservation Deposit becomes non-refundable, reflecting the costs incurred on that client's behalf. The full policy is set out on the Reservation Deposit page.
Approved refunds are processed promptly back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, funds typically appear within five to ten working days of approval.
