From Karaja, the village north of Heriz whose weavers specialised in runners, a procession of hooked medallions marching down a brick ground. The repeat is steady without being mechanical — each medallion drawn freshly, none identical.
At nearly four metres it suits a generous hallway or landing, and the tough Azerbaijan wool is made for exactly that duty.
