A memory-woven Qashqa'i with a stepped lozenge medallion and the small liberties that make tribal weaving worth collecting — a bird here, a change of mind in the minor border there. The madder is deep and slightly uneven, the way only pot-dyed wool can be.
The highland fleece has burnished with use into a lacquer-like sheen. A carpet with genuine character that still behaves politely in a furnished room.
