A disciplined mid-century Tabriz built around a sixteen-point medallion on a softened madder field. The drawing is workshop-exact — scrolling split-leaf arabesques, a properly resolved corner solution — yet fifty years of light have relaxed the palette into something considerably warmer than the city's formal reputation.
The wool is firm and dry in the characteristic Tabriz manner, taking sharp detail and holding it. A carpet for a room that is actually lived in: it will take furniture, traffic and sun without complaint.
